Un hombre residente de Tijuana y ciudadano estadounidense intent\u00f3 cruzar la frontera en la garita de Otay el 23 de octubre de 2025 y fue desviado a inspecci\u00f3n secundaria despu\u00e9s de que un oficial de Aduanas y Protecci\u00f3n Fronteriza not\u00f3 un bulto en la ingle del tipo.<\/p>\n

El individuo identificado como Jesse Agus Mart\u00ednez se le acus\u00f3 este 14 de noviembre de 2025 con un jurado federal por importar ilegalmente dos periquitos sedados de frente naranja en sus pantalones. Seg\u00fan los reportes, Mart\u00ednez insisti\u00f3 en que el bulto era \u201csu pirrin\u201d (t\u00e9rmino coloquial para referirse al pene).<\/p>\n

Cuando el oficial de CBP inspeccion\u00f3 a fondo a Jesse Agus Mart\u00ednez, el oficial encontr\u00f3 dos sacos marrones y en cada uno descubrieron dos pericos inconscientes pero respirando. El equipo de\u00a0U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service\u00a0<\/em>(Servicio de Pesca y Vida Silvestre de Estados Unidos) acudieron al llamado de las autoridades e identificaron a los periquitos como \u201cEupsittula canicularis\u201d, aves juveniles protegidas de frente anaranjada.<\/p>\n

Las aves fueron atendidas inicialmente por servicios veterinarios en California antes de ser trasladadas a un Centro de Importaci\u00f3n de Animales del Departamento de Agricultura para su cuarentena. Actualmente los animales se encuentran en condici\u00f3n estable.<\/p>\n
